Third Nephi

There is a musical play by Ralph Rogers called, "Third Nephi," based on the third book of Nephi in the Book of Mormon.

The play and the scripture on which it is based, depict the risen Jesus Christ appearing to the inhabitants of the American continents shortly after his resurrection. The play is filled with inspiring moments and beautiful music.

In 1980, the play came to Oregon and choir members were chosen locally. I was in the choir. I was astounded when they informed me that I would need to grow a beard and wear a costume. Here I am dressed up as a Nephite with a fairly good-looking beard.
