Clean-LDS is a resource for the support of those struggling to overcome pornography addiction or abuse, using the framework of the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Pornography, with its sleazy filth, sweeps over the earth like a horrible, engulfing tide. It is poison. Do not watch it or read it. It will destroy you if you do. It will take from you your self-respect. It will rob you of a sense of the beauties of life. It will tear you down and pull you into a slough of evil thoughts and possibly of evil actions. Stay away from it. Shun it as you would a foul disease, for it is just as deadly.
President Gordon B. Hinckley,
President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Clean-LDS Mailing Lists

Clean-LDS offers two mailing lists related to pornography addiction:
Clean-LDS For Latter-day Saint men and women who struggle with an addiction to or abuse of pornography.
Clean-Support For Latter-day Saint men and women married to people who struggle with an addiction to or abuse of pornography.
Clean-Marriage For married Latter-day Saints who either struggle with pornography or are married to someone who does.

Rex Goode is currently the moderator for the lists.

Only members of a list may post. However, an occasional message of well-wishing from people who have seen our web page will be forwarded to the list by the moderator.

Posting can be completely anonymous. Some members of the lists have chosen to adopt aliases by which they are known on this lists, whereas others have chosen to reveal their true identities.  If you choose to remain anonymous, you may choose a handle or alias as you send your first message to the moderator, and then refer to yourself by your chosen alias for all subsequent posts.  If you later decide to to disclose your identity you may do so by sending a message to the moderator of the list.

Because of concerns of confidentiality, the following guidelines will be in effect for those who are on the list as priesthood leaders, professional counselors, or social workers:

  1. Only those who identify themselves as struggling with pornography addiction or those who identify themselves as friends or family of someone struggling with pornography addiction may participate in the lists anonymously
  2. Those who identify themselves as pyschologists, social workers, and local priesthood leaders must use their full and true name.
  3. Those who identify themselves as pyschologists, social workers, and local priesthood leaders must provide an intro with stating their full and true name; their geographic area; their reason for interest in the list; and a few words about themselves personally. This intro must be provided within seven days of subscribing.
  4. List(s) members will be informed when each such person unsubscribes from the list(s).
